What the numbers say
- ›Indoor golf is cheaper around Vancouver. The 10 Metro Vancouver venues start at a median of $43 an hour per bay; the 9 in the Interior, the North and on the Island start at $55. More venues competing in a smaller area keeps Lower Mainland prices down.
- ›GolfBox in West Kelowna has the lowest standard rate at $35 an hour. The highest starting rate is Back Nine Indoor Golf Vernon in Vernon at $70.
- ›11 of 19 venues start under $50 a bay. Split four ways, that is less per golfer than a large bucket at most outdoor ranges, and nobody gets rained on.
- ›Time of day matters more than venue. Most places run two or three rate bands, and the gap between a Tuesday afternoon and a Saturday night at the same venue is often $15 to $20 an hour.
Cheapest simulator hour, by venue
The 19 venues that publish a per-bay hourly rate, ranked by their lowest standard public rate. Where a venue has peak pricing, the full band is shown. Member rates, happy hours and limited-time sales are left out.
Priced another way
These venues price by the player or publish a solo rate only, so they can’t be ranked against per-bay prices. The note on each says how.
How we get these rates
Every figure was read off the venue’s own website, not a third-party listing, and each venue’s page carries the source and the date we checked it. We rank on the lowest standard rate a member of the public can book for one bay for one hour. Membership pricing, happy hours, temporary sales and private-room upcharges are excluded, because they aren’t what a golfer walking in would pay. Prices are shown as published, so a pre-tax figure stays pre-tax. Venues that don’t publish a rate aren’t on this page rather than shown with a guess.

Golf simulator prices, explained
How much does it cost to rent a golf simulator in BC?
Across the 19 BC indoor golf venues that publish a per-bay hourly rate, the cheapest standard hour starts at a median of $45. Starting rates run from $35 to $70, and peak evening and weekend rates reach $75. Most bays take up to four players, so a full bay works out to well under $20 a person an hour.
Is indoor golf cheaper in Vancouver or the rest of BC?
Vancouver, which surprises most people. The median starting rate at the 10 Metro Vancouver venues we priced is $43 an hour per bay, against $55 at the 9 venues in the Interior, the North and on the Island. More competition in a smaller area keeps Lower Mainland prices down.
Is a golf simulator priced per person or per bay?
Almost always per bay, per hour, with a cap of four to six players. A few venues price by the player instead, or add a charge for each extra guest, and those are noted on this page rather than ranked against per-bay rates, because the cheaper-looking number is often the dearer one for a group.
When is the cheapest time to book a simulator?
Weekday mornings and afternoons. Most venues run two or three rate bands, with the lowest before about 4pm Monday to Thursday and the highest on Friday and Saturday evenings. A few 24-hour venues sell overnight time cheaper still.
